I am officially nuts! It seems that Mummy finds me amusing and thought me particularly crazy today. I have a 3 foot long multi-coloured caterpillar with one antenna that squeaks and another that plays a merry tune. Well doesn't everyone? Anyway, when Mummy pressed the tuneful antenna today I proceeded to stick my tongue out and jiggle my head about. Nothing wrong with that, but it caused Mummy great hilarity. I even waited till Daddy got home to show him, but all he did was laugh too! Honestly, can't a baby get a little respect around here? Yours as ever, Herbie-Lou xxx

Let the rumpus commence! Yes, I'm back after a hectic few days (and nights!) of teething. I already have 6 of course, but feel the need for more, now that my diet is becoming ever more exotic. Not sure why Mummy and Daddy need theirs though, as they are planning to do a week of juicing soon - talk about regression.

Anyway, I must apologise for the lack of Birthday Blog, but silly Daddy took the photos in 'high quality' and is not prepared to wait 48 hours for them to load on to this site. He promises to do it at work, but in the meantime can I offer a big thank you to all those that helped to make my birthday special. I had some brilliant presents but, as you can see from the pic, still have fun with my collection of teddies and other animals. Love to you all, Herbert (I'm 1, you know!) xxx

I met a young Herbert who swallowed a fly, I don't know why he swallowed a fly... yes I really ate a fly today. I found it lying on the carpet and daddy spotted it moments too late because I put it in my mouth! I don't really know why I did it, but I suppose that's what being a baby is all about. Anyway, I am looking forward to my birthday on Saturday. Mummy is baking me a delicious cake, but I think I'd rather have some biscuits, Garibaldis perhaps, geddit?! Bye for now, Herberty xxx

Yo ho ho and a bottle of milk! Today the family gathered at the Ship Inn at Dunwich and I tried out some of Nat's pirate things. I am waving a jolly roger flag and have a pirate's buckle around my small waist. I still don't feel great, but had a long sleep today and have been asleep for 4 hours as I write this (eh?). Ha Haaaaa me hearties, Long Herbert Silver xxx

Marshall Madness - this week I was visited by Auntie Mary, Uncle Andrew, Cousin Molly and Cousin Oscar. Unfortunately I have been very poorly. It could be a virus, but whatever it is I have been rather under the weather. It didn't stop me having a brilliant time though, and we have been on some great days out and eaten some cracking food. Tomorrow we shall welcome back the Stotts and Owens from their trip to France. We are meeting at Dunwich for a slap-up meal. I haven't done anything particularly funny this week, alternating between crying and staring sadly about and occasionally (when the Nurofen kicks in) smiling. Love from Herbert xxx
